My fathers day hog hunt. So I called Dad and asked him what he wanted for fathers day. He said I want to go catfish fishing or hog hunting. Hit a few spots and didn’t get a bark. It was starting to get daylight and we loaded up to hit another spot before daylight. As we were driving out my dog Milk started going crazy in the box. Stopped the truck and kicked him out and sure enough hes bayed. Sent in the calvery and caught this sow. Nice catching pigs close to the road. Def a hunt I will remember with the pops. She was a fat one. On a side note I got him a book called ‘Working ‘. A sweet book.

My trapping wild hogs story. I got out and set the box trap (Nanny Slammer) for the first time and what do you know, while sitting in the stand for hogs around I heard the door slam. I couldn’t see the trap and all I heard was growling back in the woods. Then I went to get the truck and a better light and saw 10 babies in the trap.

They were all 20-30LBS, my friend cleaned two. We were going to keep one as a pet but that did not work well because we had it in the old chicken pen with a leash around its neck and it squeezed out of a hole and ran off so nine hogs in total.

Another boar in my deer feeder. The boar got away, but she was bringing in her babies, getting up on her hind legs and eating all the feed out of the trough I keep for the deer and showing hogs how to do it.  A 150gn Remington Corelokt cured her of the habit. This is what happens when you chew on the deadliest mushroom in the woods.
Apparently, I will have to educate a few raccoons with my new CZ 17 hmr.

My pig hunting weekend I was super pumped to shoot some pigs and  right when we got there it was 6:00 and went straight to the stand. I got up in the tree stand and waited for a while and my feeder goes off and no corn. Scratching my head at this point wondering what is going on.  I got down and went to checked the feeder and it was full. So tore it all apart to find part of a feed sack stuffed up in there. Get it out and grab my card out of my camera to find something I wasn’t to happy about. And i have no clue how to go by with it. Check out the times in the photos.

I’ve been seeing a lot of destructive wild hog activity around the farm lately, and I have wanted get one with my AR (first rifle kill ever!?!)… Dropped in his tracks… Nice to not worry about blood trails and long recoveries! Came in around 9:30.
