My South Carolina ties and got good news from the wife and it looks like I’ll be heading to South Carolina in a couple of days and had to get some bait. Here are some shots I took of it

First we have your standard minnows, the clouser and glass kind

Next we have a couple of shrimp

Finally I found a couple of finger mullet

hopefully these will catch something

I hit my favorite fishing spots today and the fishing was good but the catching was GREAT! In a 3.5 hour period over 30 fish! all sunfish, bream, and bluegill. Then when I finally hooked into a bass (steve hudsons “bream streamer) he fought a good minute before breaking my tippet :bang: but boy was he big! here is some nice fishing pictures, I didn’t take too many because I was too busy catching.

Gotta love it when your son comes home from college and says “Dad, I want to go catch some trout”. Many of you have young children and the days can be tough and endless, limited fishing, a lot of daddy do’s, but there is a different time coming and the hours you put in with them pays off.

On and off for about 4 hours, great time was had by all. Enjoy Memorial day and remember why we have it……

Lake Livingston is hot for white bass and the wife and I caught a limit yesterday in about 2 1/2 hours and again today. A few big stripers mixed in as well. All on jigging slabs and spec rigs. The wife likes to use a slab + a spec rig. She caught many doubles

My “Hand Made” Fly Boxes I hope you like the photos and I made this boxes for Wildcat creek and designed it to be a nymph box with a weight compartment and the box material costs $1.99 and I added the foam and flip top compartment. I also bought some magnetic tape to seal the compartment, but it seems to stay shut on its own pretty well.




Would make a great saltwater streamer box…

It holds everything from Bonefish Gotchas and Crazy Charlies- Lefty’s deceivers, Bunker Flies, Clousers, Barracuda Needle Fish patterns, and EP’s Bait Fish Patterns.

I thought I would try something different and made Redfish fish tacos (anyone)?. Wrapped it in some fresh corn tortillas, added a little avocado, some pico de gallow with red onion and mango, shredded cabbage and a little hot sauce. Served it up with some re-fried beans, and yellow rice. It was some kinda good!

Catfish Tournament Results Ohio

The tournament had decent weather 70 degrees when we started but the bite was TOUGH for most people. The turnout was down this week because there was 3 other catfish tournaments going on !! Thanks to everyone who came out and fished with us !!!
